This is a conceptual front steering assembly for either a race car or open wheeled vehicle.  The aerodynamic arcing segment could house the steering mechanism.  This section could pass through the aft section.  Overall, the front segment would add stability and protection for the more delicate suspension, braking, and bearing components.  An integrated light could act as a turn signal, or additional fog lighting.
